What Will Happen in 2012? - Possible Scenarios

So, what will happen in the year 2012? Better yet, December 21, 2012 to be exact. There are plenty of horrible, terrifying things that could happen. But lets start with the most familiar. An asteroid impact. What kind of damage are we talking about? Well that depends on where it would strike. If it struck, lets say, the Atlantic Ocean, we are talking about a tidal wave about a mile high destroying coastal cities along the the United States. Perhaps as many as hundreds of thousands of people would be killed.

The sad part about that is that you would basically get no warning about when the tidal wave would strike, though you probably would not be too worried about that knowing there is a two mile wide asteroid impacting the Earth. If it struck land, that would cause a nuclear bomb effect on a unimaginable level. Millions to billions would most likely be killed instantly if the impact zone was in a major populated area. The effects after the impact would finish what the impact did not do. Dust would encircle the globe, causing temperature drops on the extreme side. Not to mention, famine would be a devastating result, because the dust would block the essential sunlight needed to grow corn, grain, and other supporting produce.

Another 2012 disaster that could happen is a super volcano eruption. The most famous of all the super volcanoes would be the one in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming. What kind of damage are we talking about? Well, it would basically be similar to an asteroid strike. The nuclear bomb effect, dust encircling the globe, and famine.

What are some other possible disasters that could happen in 2012? Gamma ray bursts, black holes, global earthquakes, bio terrorism, nuclear war, and worldwide famine. But actually, nothing may happen at all. In fact, possibly the biggest threat that could take place in 2012 would most likely be panic. Panic alone, if on the extreme side of things, could result in supplies running out, like oil, water, and food. Roads would be blocked, people would be committing crimes to others that would normally be nonexistent. In other words, it would be the biggest false alarm to effect everyone on the whole planet. Thus, it would take us years to decades to recover from such a preventable threat.

There are times when action is needed to prepare for the unexpected. Same can be said for the untold events of 2012 with the right essential guide. With the proper knowledge on what will actually happen in 2012, you can be ready.
