There's been a lot of talk recently about what will happen in year 2012? There are many theories and predictions and many are talking about if surviving 2012 is possible.
The ancient Mayans discovered that something would change in the year 2012. Some even believe that these changes will happen on a specific date, namely December 12. 2012. The Mayans used the solar system and the stars to create a very advanced calendar; the Long Count Calendar.
Scientist who has been studying these predictions, believe that the event that will happen in 2012 is pole shifting. This means that the South and North Pole with switch places which could result in great disasters for our society, events such as giant tsunamis, hurricanes and earthquakes are only a tiny bit of what could happen.
